Have You Ever Chased My Dog???

if you have ever had to chase my dog maddie, i would love to hear your story! yes, i know that ther're many many stories about our little westy. (good idea, Lauren!)

We took her to the Vet this week, and the comment Dr Vet gave on the report was simply, "get her teeth cleaned ($$$) and she gets so excited!"
We have dealt with that for 12 years now and she is still going strong. Chasing that dog through many fields and backyards, it's a miracle she has not yet dashed in front of a truck... but some of you have AND have lived to tell about it. So, please do....

okay, not sure how this will translate into words without the motions, but back years ago when i worked for Greg, i offered to keep maddie while the roys went out of town. Everything went fine, until about the second to last day when maddie escaped thru the front door. she took off like a bat out of h*ll and i took off after her on foot, Mark took off in the car. I mean, how am I gonna tell not only my friend but my boss that i managed to get his dog killed. Keep in mind we lived only a little from Chestnut Expressway, and that is the direction she took off. So i am trying to run after her, yelling the whole time, and mark finally finds her down and ACROSS Chestnut a couple of traffic lights away, sniffing around a business complex. Safe and sound, and no problems after. But for me the funniest part is how hard i was trying to run, yet feeling like my legs were not able to keep up. Like I was running in quicksand or tar. That is the part you really need to see to appreciate.

I know Mr. Burch recently chased her out here in Rog...

I personally like the story of how I chased her through the snow and finally had to give up because she blended in so well. We mourned her for 2 days, thinking she froze to death. Then on Monday we got a call from a neighbor saying she had spent the weekend with them, eating Dinty Moore Beef Stew every meal and cuddling with them on the couch...

i like the one where we lived right behind second babtist church and maddie took off again and was gone for an afternoon, when finally someone called from second babtist saying that they heard some barking in the balcony during choir practice!
